Education is a focal point of the Davis-McGee collection strategy. We strive to share our knowledge of the contemporary art world with our clients through exposure to various artistic modalities and conversations. We organize meaningful encounters through gallery and museum exhibition tours, studio visits, and guided art fair visits. The advisory provides artist reports with insights into the practice, exhibition history and institutional engagement of artists suiting our clients’ interests.

Through many years in the art world, Kelly McGee has forged meaningful relationships with gallerists, artists, and curators and leverages this access to the benefit of her clients. Davis-McGee works closely with clients to find a collection strategy that best suits their interests and needs, and manage the acquisition process from start to finish. 

COLLECTION MANAGEMENT 

We use our extensive knowledge of art production and logistics, and apply this niche information to all aspects of collection management. We oversee all pertinent logistics from shipping, framing, storing, installation, conservation, insurance valuations, and loan coordination. Together, the clients and firm create a database of works already in their collection. This helps us learn their taste and interests while creating a living record of the collection that together we will continue to grow.
